Another Teacher Shows Her True Colors

There never ceases to be a plethora of outrageous material out there to set one's blood to a boil. The latest is an outrageous exchange between a teacher in North Carolina and some students in her classroom. It starts with a couple of students questioning "the fact of the day" that the teacher had put on the board. She wrote that Romney was a bully, and the students asked about Obama admitting that he had also bullied a girl in high school. The teacher asserts that because Obama is president, no one can disrespect him, while Romney is only a presidential candidate and not the president. 

The audio is a little hard to hear, and the students certainly are not the model of decorum. But they learn to dish back what is dished out to them. If you cannot hear all that is being said, some of the dialogue is transcribed on the Blaze.

The teacher also reveals private information, saying she has called the father of one of the students to talk about his poor performance but he father has not called her back.

For me, the bottom line is I am glad I got out of teaching 20 years ago!! I would have a hard time biting my tongue, too.

Recently I noticed that there is a lot of finger pointing going on. In fact, almost a year ago I had saved some pictures of famous people, mostly politicians, pointing fingers. I thought I would share some of them with you. Are you game? Let's begin.

Probably the most famous image of a pointing finger is Uncle Sam.

I was never bothered by the image until the last three years. Prior to 2009, I always thought it was rather patriotic for Uncle Sam to want me. It is amazing how an image can come to mean something different when one's polar opposites political foes take over the show.

In recent months we have seen a number of politicians point at each other. Governor Jan Brewer pointed at Obama when he visited Arizona on January 25th of this year. The media elites were perturbed, and some questioned whether the Governor was being rude and/or disrespectful.

But when Obama pointed at Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal because of a letter Jindal's administration wrote to Obama's administration, I do not recall that same outrage from the media monsters.

Actually, Obama points the finger a lot. (More on this later.) And Obama is not the first president to get a finger pointed in his direction. Many have forgotten that Brian Williams of NBC pointed the finger at George W. Bush while he was in office.

Leave it to Brian Williams to report on the Brewer finger point as if it was oh-so-scandalous to point at a president. Hey, Brian, can you say "hypocrite"? Maybe President Bush is pointing at you, Brian.

Some pointers are just downright obnoxious when they point. For example, Janine Garoofolaroleo. She is not really worth devoting any time to, but since she illustrates my point, here you go.

This is Trayvon Martin, God rest his soul. I don't know why young people think that this is cool -- to post a picture of themselves flipping off the camera. Once you do this and post it for the world to see, you cannot take it back. Why is that so hard to understand? Many people get ticked off that someone uses a photo posted on the Internet to illustrate a different point. Why not direct that anger at the person who first posted the photo rather than persons who exercise their First Amendment right to free speech?

Recognize this model of humanity? That's right. It's the Majority leader of the Senate, Hairy Reed. I'll let you figure out the context of this photo. You can bet it was not during a meeting with the Prez.

And then there's this sorry excuse for a TV personality. Saying more about him is pointless and would further maher mar my post.

True, Maher is not the head of the Democratic Party. The head of the DNC, Debbie Whatserface Schultz,  is a pointer herself, even though her points are never worth listening to.

One of her predecessors was a notorious pointer. This photo was shot just before Howard Scream made his infamous squeal of defeat.

Lots of other politicians point also. Thank goodness we have not seen much of Nanny Pelosi since 2010, when she lost the Speakership  to . . .  

. . . John Boehner, who made some pointed remarks at CPAC when I was there in February.

Newt is a pointer . . .

. . . and so is New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who is never at a loss for words, I must point out.

And who can ever forget the greatest point-blank lie ever televised: Slick Willy! Notice the sweat on his brow and the flushed skin tone?

And the other Clinton, who in this photo is pointing to members of the vast right-wing conspiracy who plotted to take down her husband. Turns out he did not need any help bringing himself down.

Americans don't have a monopoly on the gesture. Even leaders from other countries point.

I think Ahmadinejad is pointing at Hillary.

Assad from Syria has pointy ears to go with his pointer finger.

Then there's Pointy Putin . . .

. . . and the pointy Pope with a big (creepy?) grin.

And let me point out that pointing goes back a long time in history. Hitler pointed a LOT . . .

. . . and Jesus is sometimes depicted pointing.

Then there are some pointers who are so sleazy that I just feel like I need to take a shower after I see them.

And who can tell me why some men of the cloth feel the need to point?

Sharpton, Jackson, Wright and Pfleger are always pointing the blame at someone else.

And speaking of pointing the blame at someone else, is Geithner pointing at Bernanke or past him, to . . .  say . . . Obama?

Maybe they all need to remember the old adage that when you point at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you. Take that!

So, let me conclude this little picture montage by saying that, in the coming months, when the Big O is busy pointing his finger . . .

. . . and the GOP nominee learns to point back with gusto . . .

. . .  the only pointing that I care to see will be in November, when we can point to the future and, in the proverbial words of the Donald say to Mr. Obama . . .

"You're fired!"
