Abortion Kills Babies but Breeds Lies

Although the name Norma McCorvey may not be one that you recognize, I can assure you that you know her. At least you know OF her. You see, Norma McCorvey took on an assumed name, an alias, back in the early 1970s so that she could be party to a lawsuit that changed the world. Norma McCorvey was the Jane Roe in the historic, landmark case known as Roe vs. Wade.

I heard Ms. McCorvey speak 11 or 12 years ago at a pro-life fundraising dinner held at my home parish for a women's center that assists poor pregnant women. She had only recently become a Christian, in 1995, and her conversion to--and enthusiasm for--the pro-life cause was deeply inspirational.


Now Ms. McCorvey has a ministry where she speaks and writes in support of the pro-lie cause. She is also currently featured in a video that supports the candidacy of Randall Terry for the U.S. House of Representatives. This video called "Roe, 'It Was All A Lie...'", contains very graphic images of aborted babies, so I caution you in advance.

I will never understand how a woman of any age or socio-economic status, or whatever means of becoming pregnant, could agree to do to her baby what happens during an abortion. But then, most women are never aware of the horrors of abortion. It is not only the baby that suffers, it is the mother also, albeit to a lesser degree in most cases. Abortion clinic employees have been caught in blatant lies when asked by potential "clients" about the safety of the procedures performed in their clinics. This video posted yesterday illustrates.

Earlier this year, in July, a woman named Tonya Reaves bled to death after an abortion was performed on her at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Chicago, Illinois. I have to wonder if Ms. Reaves asked the questions that the women in the above video asked. And what was she told?God rest her soul, and that of her baby.
